If you are the highest bidder but the item is not on your invoice, the item may have a reserve. The item may be sold at the auctioneer's discretion to any buyer after the auction closes if the item did not reach reserve so if you really want something, get in quick! New lots are added daily as they come in, and viewing is welcomed during opening hours. **Please note that overseas bidders will not be able to bid unless they can confirm that they will pay via direct deposit, no alternative payment methods are accepted** Should you require your item/s to be posted and/or insured, please let us know as soon as possible after payment. After payment, we will pack your item/s and provide you with the best post/freight options available to us. Until items are paid for and packed, we are unable to provide you a quote for post. Postage policy: Tulloch's Auctions are happy to pack and post/courier items on your behalf on the understanding that your goods are sent entirely at your own risk and that any contracts to transport and / or insure your goods are between you and the service provider / insurer and not between you and Tulloch's Auctions. We thoroughly recommend the purchasing of insurance against loss or damage, and while we may be able to provide information to assist you in the event of a claim, we cannot lodge or manage claims on your behalf. That items have been 'insufficiently packed' is an oft used excuse by some couriers and postal services to avoid payment of claims whether the items were well packed or not, and due to these less than reputable practices we must advise that we can accept no responsibility for items lost or broken by any third party after they have left our care. Please ensure you check your junk mail folder post auction in the event that you have won any lots as our invoices tend to land there.
Auction Terms & Conditions Terms & Conditions Conditions of Sale The highest bidder shall be the purchaser but in the event of any dispute arising between two or more bidders the ultimate purchaser may be determined by the Auctioneer, whose decision shall be final or he may put up the lot or lots again. The Vendors shall have the right to bid either by the Auctioneer or their Agents for any lot offered. The Auctioneer may, without giving reason, refuse to accept the bid of any person or persons, and may decline the offer for any lot or withdraw any lot or lots at any time. Immediately after the fall of the hammer the buyer shall, if requested by the Auctioneer, pay a deposit of not less than 10 percent of the purchase price of the lot and any further deposits when requested. The whole of the lots having been available for inspection, no allowances or refunds will be made nor will any buyer be permitted to reject any lot on the ground that it is not correctly described, the said lots are to be taken with all faults (if any) and will be at the buyer’s risk on fall of the hammer and thereafter the vendor and auctioneer will be free of all responsibility for safe guarding the goods and will not be liable for any loss of or responsibility to the goods whether such loss or damage is caused or contributed to by any act, neglect, or default of the Vendor, its servants, employees or agents. Motor vehicles are assessed by visual inspection only, no mechanical testing is undertaken and the vehicles are not started or driven for assessment purposes unless otherwise stated. Any deficiency in the quality described shall not vitiate the sale but neither the Vendor nor the Auctioneers shall be accountable for any deficiency, damage or loss which arise thereafter. In the event of non-compliance with any of the above Terms and Conditions, all monies paid by the Purchaser shall be absolutely forfeited and the goods purchased may be sold, either by Public Auction or Private Contract, without notification at the risk and expense of the former purchaser who shall be liable for any deficiency which may arise together with all costs and charges, but shall be entitled to any profit which may accrue from such resale. The Auctioneer is selling as agent for the respective owners of all lots. The Auctioneer does not warrant the title to any lot and shall not be responsible for deficiency in any such title. A 15% Buyer’s Premium applies to all lots (G.S.T. Inclusive) excepting motor vehicles whereupon the following schedule applies; hammer price of $1-1000=20% $1001-3999 15% $4000 and above 8% Buyer’s premium. (G.S.T inclusive). Payment Terms
Payment for items is required strictly within 2 business days of date of Tax Invoice. This is to ensure timely payment of net proceeds to vendors whilst complying with trust accounting legislation. All invoices not generated on auction day will be emailed to successful bidders. If an email address cannot be supplied you will need to contact us, but not before 1pm Thursday. Payment can be made in cash, by eftpos transaction, direct deposit into the Tullochs Auctions Trust Account (please quote invoice numbers as reference), or by credit card over the phone or email (Visa and MasterCard accepted and incur a surcharge of 1.5%). Collection of items is required within 2 business days of payment of invoice. If you are unable to collect your goods within this timeframe, please advise and we will do our best to negotiate a time for collection suitable to both purchaser and Tullochs. Please be aware that longer term storage of goods may incur a storage fee charged at $12 per day. If you require your items to be posted or shipped, please advise and after payment for items won we will calculate postage and issue an invoice for payment. As soon as we have received payment your items will be sent and you will be advised of a tracking number. If you require your items to be collected by courier, you will need to arrange for that and we are happy to provide contact details of some trusted couriers we see regularly. If you will require any lots won to be posted or couriered to your address, please feel free to contact us if you need an estimate of how much this may add to your invoice prior to bidding.
